Professional Development Committee of the Saudi Endodontic Society

Since the formation of the fourth council of the Saudi Endodontic Society for this year, the Professional Development Committee has been established as a mandatory body. This committee serves all its active members, ensuring the continuous improvement of the quality of professional outcomes in the specialty.

Continuous professional development is considered one of the core areas of our industry’s vision. It helps members acquire a broad range of professional, scientific, and personal skills that are beneficial in their work, whether research-based or practical. Given the increasing rate of change and advancements in endodontics, continuous development has become one of the essential pathways to progress in the quality of the profession.

 

Objectives of the Professional Development Committee:

1. Achieve a high level of competence and skill in meeting professional requirements with superior quality.
2. Enhance and improve the awareness of practitioners in the field of endodontics through interactive opportunities that support professional and personal growth.
3. Acquire new skills and refine existing ones for success in the field.
4. Maintain a high level of knowledge and professional performance standards, providing high-quality professional services.
5. Offer a range of scientific activities that significantly reinforce scientific concepts, enhance job performance, and boost professional skills.

Achievements of the Committee in the First and Second Quarters of the Current Year:

1. Initiated the study of a diploma accredited by the Health Specialties Authority in the field of endodontics.
2. Activated the role of periodic lectures targeting the main needs of members with important contemporary topics relevant to daily professional practice.
3. Developed a survey to measure attendee satisfaction with scientific activities and used the results to guide the planning of future activities.
